The ‘Ulamaa have deemed the hadeeth regarding the favor/bounty of the month of Sha’baan as being weak.
📌 1. The Shaykh of the Maalikis Abu al-Khattaab al-Kalbee al-Andalusi stated in his book, ‘What Is Correct and Clear Concerning The Favor of The Month of Sha’baan’, pg. 43: “The Scholars of Praise and Disparagement (scholars of Hadeeth) have stated that there is no authentic hadeeth regarding the middle night of Sha’baan.”

Al-Qaadhee Abu Bakr Ibn al-‘Arabi al-Maaliki stated in his book, ‘Ahkaam al-Qur’aan’, pg. 117, vol.4: “There is no hadeeth which is to be depended on regarding the middle night of Sha’baan nor regarding its favor/bounty nor regarding the abrogation of lifespans/durations (which is claimed to take place therein), thus don’t pay any attention to them.”
📌 3. Al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab al-Baghdaadi al-Hanbali in his book ‘Laat’if al-Ma’aarif’, pg. 136: “Regarding the favor of of the middle night of Sha’baan, there are several ahaadeeth which the ‘ulamaa have differed concerning, with the majority of them deeming them as weak. Ibn Hibbaan declared some of them as authentic and narrated them in his Saheeh.”
📌 4.The ‘Allaamah Ibn Baaz stated in his book, ‘The Warning From Bid’ah’, pg. 29 about the middle night of Sha’baan: “Several weak hadeeth have been narrated regarding its favor and it is not permissible to rely on them.”
He also mentioned on pg. 30: “The narrations which have come regarding its favor are all weak and some of them are fabricated.”

📌 5. The ‘Allaamah Hammaad al-Ansaari stated in his book: ‘Is’aaf al-Khalaan Bi Maa Warada Fee Laylata An Nisf Min Sha’baan’, pg. 14: “The ahaadeeth regarding the favor of this night are numerous with the majority of scholars categorizing them as weak. Ibn Hibbaan deemed some of them as authentic and narrated them in his Saheeh.”
📌6. The Allaamah al Uthaimeen stated in Liqaa al Baab al Maftooh, pg. 115: ‘What is correct is that all of what has been narrated concerning the favor of the middle night of Sha’baan is weak and not valid as proof and there are fabrications among what has been narrated concerning such.
📌 7. The Allaamah al Fawzan was asked during a lecture of his, ‘Are the hadith which have been narrated concerning the favor of the middle night of Sha’baan authentic? ‘ He answered with the statement: ‘No, they are not authentic. Nothing is authentic concerning the middle night of Sha’baan nor the middle day of Sha’baan. ‘
And from the ahaadeeth of the favor of Sha’baan is the hadeeth: “Allah examines His creation on the middle night of Sha’baan and he forgives all of His creation except for the mushrik and quarreler.”
